JáTtik Clark and the CCC Wind Ensemble will be performing Jones’s Concerto for Tuba and Wind Ensemble under the formidable baton of RCBQ’s Lars Campbell. Cascadia Composers, Crossing Paths 2022

Gate opens at 4pm for picnics in the meadows and for garden strolls to discover special sound installations. The Rose City Brass Quintet set begins at 5 pm followed by repeating musical performances at different locations throughout the garden so that concert guests may experience the music at each of the locations in any order they choose.

The program will include works of Cascadia Composers: Adrienne Albert, William Ashworth, Daria Baiocchi, David S. Bernstein, John G. Bilotta, Antonio Celaya, Ted Clifford, Ken Davies, David Jones, Lisa Ann Marsh, Jan Mittelstaedt, Carolyn Quick, Christina Rusnak, Greg A Steinke, Tomas Svoboda, and Linda Woody.

Featured musicians include the Rose City Brass Quintet (Logan Thane Brown, Lars Campbell, JáTtik Clark, Joseph Klause, and Daniel Partridge), Dunja Jennings Marcum (clarinet), Daniel Partridge (horn), and Brett EE Paschal, Wanyue Ye, and Davi Martinelli de Lira (percussion).

Electronic sound installation created by Daniel Brugh, Mei-ling Lee, Timothy Arliss O’Brien, Jennifer Wright, and Nicholas Yandell. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and may pack in a picnic to enjoy on the garden grounds. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the grounds, but beer and wine will be sold on-site.

We hope you can share in this exciting concert of new music from Cascadia Composer members! Tickets are $25 for general admission, $15 for seniors and working artists, $10 for students, free for children under 12. Tickets are available through Leach Botanical Garden at Crossing Paths Tickets, or at the door and include admission to the garden.

Nordic Northwest Recital

Rose City Brass Quintet presents an afternoon of Nordic brass compositions performed outdoors at Nordic Northwest. RCBQ has curated a program featuring music from each Nordic country, featuring works by composers Axel Jorgensen, Anders Hillborg, Tomi Räisänen, and more. Experience the different flavors of each country's particular influence on the brass repertoire in a culture where brass quintet is embraced and cultivated as a native genre.

Doors open at 2pm; there we will be a no host bar serving select Oregon wines and beers along with non-alcoholic beverages. Broder Söder provides a select food menu.
